Description   Abbott i-STAT Abbott i-STAT, offered at Block Scientific, is a blood gas analyzer from Abbott Laboratories. It was manufactured originally by i-STAT Corporation, a top notch manufacturer of point-of-care diagnostics, which has now been acquired by Abbott Laboratories. Abbott i-STAT is a hand held device proven to be useful for making a rapid and safe point-of-care blood testing for electrolytes, coagulation, glucose, cardiac markers (cTnI), chemistries, and hematology. Using as little as two drops of blood and a test cartridge, it can give accurate results within two minutes, whenever you need it. For performing point-of-care clinical tests, Abbott i-STAT makes use of Precision PCx™ and PCx Plus glucose test strips along with self-contained cartridges. The use of self-contained cartridges makes the equipment simple to use and operate. It can hold up to 50 patient records and there is no need of having any cables or special wiring.
